Chamillionaire Chooses Winner Of Energizer Music Contest

Chamillionaire and Energizer Battery crowned a winner in their 2007 Energizer e2 Titanium Technology Freestylin' Music Contest over the weekend, who had the chance to perform alongside the Grammy Award winning artist at a stop on DUB Magazine's 2007 Auto Show.

San Francisco rapper C-Tru came out of the contest victorious, after beating out hundreds of hip-hop hopefuls, then being handpicked by Chamillionaire from the final five in Energizer's contest -- launched back in March (see "Chamillionaire Helps Energizer Find New Talent").

As the winner, C-Tru met Chamillionaire and performed his contest entry live in front of thousands of fans during the DUB Auto Show & Concert in Atlanta on Sunday (May 20).

No stranger to making dreams happen, being that he rose from a underground Houston rapper to national sensation, Chamillionaire has brought the dream of making it big a little closer for San Francisco's C-Tru.

"Meeting Chamillionaire and spending time with an artist who's out there telling the truth through his music, just like I am, is an opportunity of a lifetime," said C-Tru. "Energizer's support and respect for the music scene made this happen. I'm truly grateful."

In related news, Chamillionaire is currently prepping the release of Ultimate Victory, the follow-up to his platinum-selling debut Sound Of Revenge. There is currently no release date for the album.
