05/19/07 - Camp Lo Returning With EP In August

Camp Lo is hitting the studio with their original producer, Ski Beatz, to release an upcoming EP, titled “Ski Beatz presents: Camp Lo … Another Heist.”

The Bronx rap duo, Sonny Cheeba and Geechi Suede, are reuniting with Ski Beatz who helped record their 1997 debut, “Uptown Saturday Night.”

Aside from Camp Lo’s material, Ski Beatz is also known for his work on Jay-Z’s debut album “Reasonable Doubt” which dropped a year earlier – producing classics such as “Dead Presidents II,” “Feelin It,” and “Politics As Usual.”

“The cats who never heard Camp Lo’s music are gonna be surprised to hear something this new and refreshing, and the longtime fans will definitely not be disappointed,” said Ski Beatz.

“I'm not in the business of making wack music or compromising my sound to fit into any categories, so check us out.”

The seven-track EP hits stores in August, via a joint venture between Ski’s label, Redefinition Records, and High Water Music, founded by DJ Sucio Smash of WKCR 89.9 FM’s Squeeze Radio Show.
