The Associated Press recently reported that the Rev. Al Sharpton plans to bring his fight against obscenity in music directly to the doorsteps of the record label executives who control the industry. According to the report, Sharpton plans to travel to the Hamptons, Long Island summer homes of certain industry players with busloads of protestors for a rally during Memorial Day Weekend. The Hamptons, a longtime summer playground of the rich and famous, is typically an extremely popular destination during the holiday weekend. “I’ll be sure to wear my white suit, so I don’t violate the dress code,” Sharpton told columnists Rush & Molloy of the New York Daily News when asked about the rally.
