Shawnna has been dropped by Ludacris and the DTP Family.

In a supposed statement from Ludacris, this is what he had to say about the

“Shawnna is a very talented artist but is no longer rocking with DTP''

The Chicago native has had a hard time getting her respect in this industry. After three albums and a semi rocky relationship with Def Jam. She had a hit record last summer titled “Getting Some Head”, but after that she disappeared on the music charts.

that's just how it is with all the artists. people wanna hear it on the radio. then they want to know when it comes out so they can DOWNLOAD it. it's sad really you can get any album before it comes out

I know this sounds sexist but nobody really listens to female rappers. When was the last time you bought a c.d. by a female rapper? I am not saying they aren't good it's just that nobody really takes them serious. Besides maybe Missy and Lil Kim that is about it.
