"Everybody Misses The Fugees," Akon Addresses Rumors of Wyclef's Super Group

Relentless crooner Akon recently chopped it up with SOHH to discuss the much rumored super group to feature him and Wyclef Jean.

As previously reported, Clef shared that he had grown tired with the bad communication within the Fugees and was thinking of assembling a new super group with Akon and a new female performer. Though Akon doesn't think Clef is serious, he admitted that the group could come to life under the right circumstances.

"He just be saying shit like that just to be creating a rumor just to exaggerate the hype, 'cause everybody miss the Fugees," Akon told SOHH. "Being that he was one of the key players of putting that group together, he kinda wanna keep that legacy alive, kinda like Elvis or Pac. So I think he just be doing it just to be bullshitting."

"I don't think there's no truth to it," he continued. "But if he ever considered it, I would do it. That's my man since way back. I would do it on the strength to show people that it could happen again."
