03/26/07 - KOCH Preps New Releases For Dogg Pound and Prodigy

Koch Records was recently at the center of controversy, as a discussion about Koch that took place on New York radio sparked the recent 50 Cent/Cam'ron trade off. While 50 and others have shrugged off Koch in the past, the label has become somewhat of a model within the music industry for how to work with artists, and develop new and unique deals. On Tuesday, March 27th, Koch records will release new albums from Tha Dogg Pound and Prodigy.

Dogg Chit is the new LP from Tha Dogg Pound. Dogg Chit comes less than a year after Daz and Kurupt released their "comeback album," Cali Iz Active.

The album contains collaborations with The Game ("Anybody Killa"), Snoop Dogg ("Vibe With A Pimp"), Jay Felony ("Blaze It Up"), and many others.

Return of The Mac also hits shelves tomorrow. That album is a joint effort between Prodigy of Mobb Deep, and the Alchemist. Return of The Mac serves as an appetizer for Prodigy's long-awaited H.N.I.C. 2.

"Alchemist and I put this CD together to get people ready for my new solo album H.I.N.C.2 I'm 'bout to turn it up hot with H.N.I.C.2. I decided to ride with KOCH Records 'cause I got a lot of s**t to do and say, and I know KOCH won't hold me back or censor my s**t plus the entire company will push the CDs to the maximum because they truly love and respect my music. We're very excited about the whole damn thing."

Fans can check out videos from Return of The Mac by heading over to YouTube. The Village Voice named the video for "Mac 10 Handle" the #2 Best Rap Video of 2006.

West Up!!! DPG putting out more of that West Coast music that nobody can relate to because nobody Gangbangs like Los Angles do. If you from New York and other states besides cali, need to re evaluate what gangbangin really is!! Prodigy album is fire!! One thing about La niggas is we listen to anything that we feel is good music!! We dont hate other coasts but damn niggas need to give west coast music the props we deserve.
