Rap superstar 50 Cent was more than 100 miles away from Manhattan - and in no way involved in an alleged attack on the son of a rival music mogul, his lawyer and sources said yesterday.

"We are conducting our own investigation to determine exactly what happened," said Benjamin Brafman, 50 Cent's attorney.

"One thing I can say with absolute certainty, however, is that at the time of the alleged incident, 50 Cent was not in New York State."

Tony Yayo, a member of 50 Cent's notorious G-Unit crew, was arraigned yesterday on misdemeanor charges that he attacked the 14-year-old son of music industry rival Jimmy (Henchmen) Rosemond last Tuesday in Manhattan.

Yayo, whose real name is Marvin Bernard, pleaded not guilty in Manhattan Criminal Court and was released on $5,000 bail, his lawyer said.

Sources said Bernard, 29, turned himself in Saturday after he returned from a gig in Africa.

A friend of 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, told the Daily News that Fitty "was in Connecticut packing to leave for Portugal and Africa" tomorrow night.

The star has a $4 million home about 110 miles from New York in Farmington, Conn. The home once belonged to boxer Mike Tyson.

Brafman's comments contradict published reports that claim 50 Cent was with Yayo when the teen was slapped in the face on W.25th St., shortly after 6 p.m.

The victim, James Rosemond, told cops he was attacked because he was wearing a shirt emblazoned with the name of his father's company, Czar Entertainment, according to his mother, Cynthia Reed.

The teen thought he saw 50Cent in a car that pulled up beside him immediately before the attack, Reed said.

Fitty and Jimmy Rosemond have a longstanding feud because Rosemond manages a 50Cent rival, The Game.

"This is not a black-on-black crime," Reed said.

"This could happen to anybody's child - a child living in Connecticut wearing a Game T-shirt could be attacked."

Nope, you got it wrong. 50 and Yayo were in Africa. But the article is saying that 50 was at home when the kid got assaulted. He was packing his stuff because they left the day after. You know what I am saying?

Now if I were the lawyers I would bring charges against the mother and the son for slander on 50Cent's name. They only used his name to get the press and bring more attention to the situation because no one really Knows Tony Yayo as far as the press goes. Even if Yayo did this I think the family fucked themselves because there is a few different stories now and if they told different ones to the media than the police report they are fucked and it will just get cross examined. Hitting a 14 year old is kinda weak but honestly it was a slap and I don't see it being that traumatic to him. All they want is money but now that there is different shit floating around it seems like they ain't getting shit.
