03/14/07 - 50 Cent & Nelly "Rip The Runway" With BET

BET is all revved up to premiere this year's edition of "Rip The Runway," their one hour fashion special featuring the biggest names in hip-hop and R&B.

Hosted by R&B superstars Chris Brown and Ciara, "Rip the Runway" was held last week at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom. The show is scheduled to air on BET tonight (March 14) at 10 p.m. EST/PST. Viewers can tune in to watch over 200 models strut their stuff in designs by Mychael Knight, Jordan Brand, Apple Bottom, Amaya Swimwear, The Steve Harvey Collection, Monif C. and LRG.

The show will have appearances from celebrity models Russell Simmons, Tyrese, Brooke Hogan, Deelishis ("Flavor of Love"), Toccara ("The Black Carpet") and "106 & Park" hosts Rocsi and Terrence.

BET called in Chris Robinson, prominent video director and director of ATL, to direct the special event. Celebrity stylist June Ambrose styled the show and served as backstage fashion correspondent doling out the latest in fashion advice for this season. Celebrity designers Nelly (Apple Bottom), 50 Cent (G-Unit Clothing) and Steve Harvey also make special guest appearances during segments for their lines.

"Rip the Runway" will also has performances from Rich Boy, Mims, Paul Wall, Musiq Soulchild and Lloyd, as well as surprise guests Jermaine Dupri, Big Gipp, Ali and one of rap's greatest lyricists, Rakim.

Tune in to BET tonight at 10 p.m. EST/PST for the premiere of "Rip the Runway."
