01/21/07 - Kanye West Talks About New Album

Kanye West has been making a lot of news lately. First we hear about his new scripted comedy show coming soon to HBO, then we hear he’ll be doing a remix for Fall Out Boy, and now we finally get some information on his upcoming album, Graduation. The album, due in the last quarter of 2007, will feature a couple of cross-genre collaborations. The first single, “Homecoming” will feature Coldplay’s Chris Martin, who recently collaborated with Jay Z on a track from his comeback album, “Kingdom Come.”

Kanye will also be working with Jon Brion again after having such a good experience with him on “Late Registration.”

“We’ll be working together again on the new project,” West promises. “Jon wasn’t just a producer—he was such a good friend and a great person to bounce ideas off of in the studio. It was the whole experience.”
