Lil Wayne may face criminal charges after a fight broke out during a Maryland performance, leaving three women injured.

According to the Associated Press, Weezy was performing at Hill Field House at Morgan State University in Baltimore, MD on October 19th, when someone threw money into the crowd. A melee ensued, leaving three women injured.

According to Police Chief Adrian Wiggins, it is uncertain whether Weezy or a member of his crew threw the bills into the audience. University officials said Wayne would be banned from the school's campus. The Morgan State University Police are considering pressing criminal charges against the New Orleans rapper.

"It was as dangerous a thing to do as standing in a crowded movie theater and shouting, 'Fire,'" Clinton Coleman, a MorganState spokesman, told the AP.

According to Coleman, the money thrown into the crowd consisted of mostly $1 bills, but also included some $5, $10 and $20 bills. Two 20-year-old women were hit with leg injuries and taken to JohnsHopkinsHospital. A third woman was hurt but wouldn't receive medical attention.

Approximately 4,000 people attended the sold out show, which also featured Busta Rhymes. Weezy's publicist at Universal Music Group, didn't respond to messages seeking comments.

In related news, Weezy was recently arrested for drug possession in Atlanta. According to Atlanta's Action News, Weezy, (born Dwayne Michael Carter) was cuffed on August 14th close to Atlantic Station in midtown Atlanta. Police officers revealed that Weezy was carrying various drugs when arrested
