![]() What’s up 4-0. First let me start off by saying that I think you have a very different approach to your music. Do you pride yourself in writing content that sets you apart from other artist? (smiles) yeah, I do. First thanks for having me here. But yeah that’s what makes me original and different from others. I just incorporate life in music. When did you first fall in love with Hip Hop and decide you wanted to become an artist? That had to be when I was around 11 years old and when I wanted to be an artist is when I knew I had talent and something special that no one had. Can you tell me more about “4-0” in terms of what your daily routine consist of? (Ha) making ever day like my last. I get as much as I can in the studio everyday. I constantly write. And try to make the day as productive as I can. If you could change anything about the recording industry what would it be and why? I would change the structure of music I have. Seems like every song as to be done a certain way. Chorus, verse, chorus, verse, bridge, chorus, etc. Gotta be creative. Have some imagination. Feel the music if it ends up that way so be it. But you gotta feel and really put everything you have for every song and structure will come with it. What artist influence your artistic style? Eh, well I used to and still do listen to a lot of Eminem, 50 cent, Tupac, Nas, Kanye west, and all old school hip hop as well. I think they all had an influence in my music and style but I developed one on my own that every ones going to remember. To date what is your favorite song that you have recorded and why? Man, that’s impossible for me to answer. I really don’t have a particular favorite and I’ma tell yah why. Every song is a different phase in my life and I go through different moods like everyone does. So it all depends on the way I’m feeling. And when I do songs I try to make everyone one of them my favorite so they can be everyone else’s too. Your music has a certain vibe that is appealing to real fans of the genre. But I also feel that you can cross over to reach a broader market as well. What producers are you presently working with? Thanks, I’m working wit who I call my brothers, Plexity which is in North Carolina and we have been doing this for a long time now. He is a monster lyrically and on producing. I also produce a lot of my own music. Write it, Produce the beats and record it. And I’m working wit Rocka Rah from Seattle. We got a good vibe together and produce this music to the fullest. He’s got not only good produced music but also his word play in songs is ridiculous. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now in regards to the music business? Well, I see my self in a very good spot. (Laughs) I aint givin everything you gon have to wait. For the ladies out there, is 4-0 single? Well I got my situations but always lookin for opportunities that come up. (Laughs) If anyone wants to purchase your music where can they get it? They can get it on Itunes, Amazon.com any of the digital sites out there. And go on my myspace (myspace.com/40hiphopsprayer) hit me up and let me know. Also in Milwaukee’s Hip hop CD store, “LiveWire”. You’ll always be able to get a hold of it. If you could collab with any artist who would it be and why? I really would like to collab with Eminem and make something classic. The reasoning is because he has influence my life in many ways of course growin up and listening to the lyrics and music he brings. And I would like to impact many more people at the same time and integrate our styles and something beautiful would come out of that. Any last shout outs? Plexity, Rocka Rah, T-Gunz, all my fans and every one holdin me down I got you. Also can’t forget Tiff for getting at me and makin this happen. Thanks
