f you don’t know by now, then it’s time for you to catch up. In the fourth installment of Chuck Taylor’s mixtape series “You Know What It Is”, the man now going by the alias “Murda Game” (a nickname given to him by Nasty Nas himself) is back with a vengeance. After not reaching the heights of success he proclaim would come with his sophomore album “The Doctor’s Advocate” the Game is back on his grind.

Just by looking at the mixtape cover you could tell your in for something spectacular, The Game sitting on a throne surrounded by skulls with logo’s of his foes on them, such as 50 Cent, a large indicator that beef plays a major part again. The opening track “Get’ Dollaz” is a fiery sample featuring vocals from the multitalented Tyreese. The most notable thing is that Game’s rap style resembles that of a Sayian (check out Dragon Ball anime series to understand), the way every time they fight they get stronger. In this way every time you hear a new Game song, you hear his flow improve greatly.

“Went from a youngin’ dumbin;’/ to the second comin’/ ni**a’s can’t see inside the phantom/ I call it Stevie Wonder” The Game spits effortlessly at ease over the menacing bass of “Gutter”. Proving critics wrong that said he lack the ability to write catchy hooks. If you know me you know I’m not the biggest fan of Akon’s singing. Yet what MC is complete nowadays without a feature from the Kunvict? Linking together on “Gangsta Bop”, Game does his infamous Dr. Dre impersonation over the track which feels like a throw away joint from The Doctor’s Advocate.

The highlights of the mixtape come in the form best known as Murda Game. Seeing that Nas named him that because of his tendency to “murder” his foes whenever he beefs. So the diss tracks come out in full force with the song “Body Bags”. Another G-Unit diss, this time aimed mostly at Tony Yayo over the allegations of him slapping Game’s manager’s son. Game spit’s "What type of b!tch ni**a put his hands on kids (homo)/pull up that black van on his (no)/we don't do the kid slapping(nah)/we do the kid snatching/eyewitness, there's been a kidnapping/feed him real good, take him to play with Harlem/sit by the phone, just wait, it's your daddy callin'/nah, we don't get down like that/ but 50's momma, we'll put you in the ground like that, Cuurrtissss”. Offering a huge low blow to 50 Cent with the last line.

G-Unit isn’t the only one to catch Game’s wrath, Vida the video model also gets it. Stemming from so feud over lines in Game’s “Wouldn’t Get Far” where he took shots at video girls jokingly. Vida attacked back appearing in magazines and even writing her own diss. So on the track “Gangsta Sh!t” Game retaliates saying "Two finger f*cked Vida like a virgin / two finger splits had her swerving like me in a Rolls Royce liquored up behind curtains / I never f*ck with b!tches that would turn me down/ just like I never f*ck b!tches that would burn me, wow".

You Know What It Is 4: The Murda Chronicles doesn’t lay down, but it doesn’t reach the same potential as his past works. He reuses the verses from one of his older songs on “Haterz”, yet shines on the accapella freestyle “Black Democrat”. Game does his thing having fun and just making music for the hell of it. If you are a Game fan or just an overall fan of gutter Hip-Hop then this is for you and if you don’t know, then now you know.
