I gave it a 4/5 because it was the best album of 06 (which wasnt hard) and he put out an good album when everybody was putting out garbage. But still this preaching is getting out of line i miss the stillmatic days when he was on his niggas cant fuck with me tip. Its lack of replay jams lowers the rating but all in all a good album a solid album in nas book.

people are too into lyrics these days thats whats fucking shit up. I remember when niggas just listen to the song and be the song either goes hard or not. Now its dog that shit isnt weak do u know what hes talking about. Just cause hes talking about something deep doesnt make the song a classic.

Blunt Ashes was wack not like its so bad i cant listen to it but nas flow on this track was wack and the beat didnt help.

Who Killed it? is such a lyrical track which u have to listen very clearly and know a lot about hip hop, so most people today wont understand but people that been listening to a lot hip hop in the past will understand it
the worst track was Can't Kill me.. but it wasnt that bad
This should be a near classic i would give it a 4.8
Best Album of the year definitely and right after it Hell Hath No fury, Food and Liquor

i didnt say lyrics arent important!!! i mean people are too hooked into what the artist is talking about (thats important too so dont get mad again) and counting out the other factors such as wordplay, cleverness, hook, delivery and beat on the song. i mean how a song gon be a classic with a wack beat or hes delivery is not on point.
I mean hip hop is dead is like a damn rap history lesson at times. what happened to making a good song instead of who knows the most about where hip hop originated. Nas on carry on tradition "lets see who can recite a krs one line the fastest" wtf is that suppose to mean. If u got to know hip hop history from the 80s to understand your cd in 2007 maybe under parental advisory he should put for ages over 30.
