Busta Rhymes - "The Big Bang"

Rating * * * * The Hip Hop world is used to the energetic music of Busta Rhymes. Yet this time around Busta Rhymes returns to his early roots in The Big Bang. Well once upon a time before Busta was known for his hyperactive presence, he was a lyricist. Does anyone remember Leaders of the New School? More and more as New York rappers return to their grassroots, they’re also finding out that lyricism has a fan base and when done right it can sell and make lethal classics. The word on the streets is that The Big Bang might go down as a classic. After certain tracks infiltrate your ear canal then it’s understood why that rumor’s floating around.
The radio anthem “I Love My Bitch” gives The Big Bang no justice at all. Underneath the surface of that “106 & Park” top ten video single is a diamond mine of classics. Busta doesn’t come through with recent R&B acts. Instead he goes back to some old school heavyweights. He even has Latoya Jackson on “I’ll Do It All.” “Been Through The Storm” features Stevie Wonder, and it’s probably one of the most personal songs Busta has done about his upbringing.

Yea, this album should defiinately get some great reviews. It's a great album, can't stop listening to it. wow, I'm glad Obie got pushed back now cuz i would've been stuck between picking which album to get yesterday...now i can just get Obie's when it does come out. And Rotten Apple gonna be awesome too. next two months are gonna be great!

i thaught it was pretty tight best tracks are the stevie wonder one,rick james one,cocaina,the reakwon track,the nas one is alright beat is a get used to, i love my bitch is pretty good production songs concept and shit is garbage,the miss elliot song is bunk,the timbaland one is pretty hurtin other then that its tight trhat chick from floety is good that mr.porter track is good def 4/5 good production all around

The album is real tight. But I think its a lil bit stupid that Busta has so many features on it. He has only 2 tracks outta the 15 where he's solo. But that doesnt fuck the album up, the Reakwon, Mr. Porter (D12), Rick James and the first track are masterpieces.
If he wanted it to be a "5 mic" (like in the 90's) album he should made 20 or so tracks, more solo and that "Rough Around The Edges" track on the album.
Outta 10 points is definitly give it an 8.5
