Letter To My Conscience (Brain Poison)

Haven't posted on here in a hot minute so...here goes nothing...

Dangle my angle, thought it soul but ended in hood shit,
Started out a simple poem, finished lyrically at a good script.
Publish the rubish, extend my deadline for a better cause,
This ain't a game to me but left to start is forever paused.
Don't get it crossed, my mind is twisted like sewn threads,
Straighten out the "heir" to a throne like he was torn dreads.
Forbidden lingo that strings those into a symbolic lullaby,
Inquiries "viewed" as potential threats followed by so what if "eyes".
Butterflies dance and twirl as cancer's hurled so unforgivingly,
If my mentality is unliked as a pessimistic reality...COME AND GET AT ME!

I thought this was basic, the similes were simple & not really creative given the topic, the flow was pretty good except for this bar
