Was just listening to the Royce Da 5'9 song, so I figured i'd pay tribute to both the genre and the inspiration...
Hip Hop, they say it started out in the park/ But I don't know that shit so lets skip that part/ All I know it was Kool Herc preachin like Ghandi/ Grandmaster Flash with a hint of Blondie/ To see how it's changed is a little bit awkward/ But hip hop's metal and the old school's sautered/ Just listen to the lyrics do you see? I see/ Because B.I.G will never D.I.E/ And it's obvious that theory will never fail/ Because half the old school's in the stories they tell/ Did you know Jay Z used to rap with Big L?/ And he was gonna sign to Roc-a-Fella before the big sells?/ Or how about the fact that before Felli Fel/ Afrika Bambatta would rip it with Melli Mel?/ You might call it corny feel free to scorn me/ Cuz the scars of Hip Hop still adorn me/ Regardless of the warnings of dwelling and mourning/ I continue to tell the story because the legend's still forming/ LL Cool J was knockin niggas out/ Rakim was before him, talkin to niggas now/ Inspired everybody follow that with etcetera/ From The Game, to Pac, to Jay just check his repertoire/ Even early in the game we had some heavy features/ Busta Rhymes and Fat Joe on the tracks with KRS the teacher/ Before Hypnotize was Lodi Dodi with Slick Rick/ Distinguished because of that English accent/ Then came Wallace, who was another boss himself/ Influenced all the MCs and preached the cost of wealth/ The guns and the pistols, the gat in the palm/ Spittin lyrical miracles and droppin the bombs/ Through the media culture he was a known entity/ Just like Pac, who was ridin on his enemies/ The power of Hip Hop was revealed to be more/ No need for weapons concealed, with words they started a coastal war/ People couldn't believe all the gang activity/ Although this contradicted early Hip Hop liberties/ You might not look at half these faces today/ If Dre, Ren and Cube didn't come with NWA/ Hey, we had the Wu Tang easily different/ Shinobis and ninja came in the game prolific/ Killa Bees and samurai, to be specific/ Swords with battle raps while the tracks were kickin/ Shit man Eminem revolutionized himself/ Multi syllabic rhyme scheme and damage that it dealt/ Benzino and Rule weren't toe to toe/ Dissapeared in a shell cuz they had to go/ Speakin of white people, word to Everlast/ The school Hip Hop proves to be a clever class/ Although it's dramatically changed, the old school did the same/ Shit, i'm glad it is the way it is get to suin me/ Cuz the way it's manifested is one preserves it's unity/ KRS was samplin and this gave us opportunities/ The tradition of the muscians they carry on today/ Shit, I wouldn't have Hip Hop any other way... Oh yeah, one more tribute. I am the Writer, take your daughter F 18s like fighters, fuck all the biters let me get you up to speed, watch my name you got a warning to heed... W is you plus two, that's me hence the double you, get mad Mary Sues And the R is for respect, naturally select the primal you should know me check my vinyls I is for indestructible, feel free to hate me i'm the purest in the game like crack in the eighties and T is for the topic, in which I spit, in which you spite because I proceed to enlight...en- E is for the extraterristrial see? I'm on a different planet you can't ascend to me R is the rage that fuels the sprit, the spirit that fuels the lyric refuse to hear it, because it's too strong for you don't get overpowered, my lyrics possess teeth MCs get devoured... I see Combustion fiendin for attention, I must be doing something right. Oh yeah, I checked out your last verse. Real postive criticism you got man.
![]() Oh yeah, and one more thing. Half of my verses shitting on you got repped and positive criticism, which was more than you ever got. You got your ass handed to you in a beef and you're bitter about it, now if you'd so nicely step out of my threads and go back to dropping your horrid verses that'd be great.
