im searching for the answers please try to understand
i've been livin trife without a plan now im tryna change n become a better man
even though i already spit like a veteran im still a rookie still im better than
any man at least in my mind i am but im just tryna survive this land of uncle sam
and its hard when you come here and you dont speak english damn...
but making it in this country they say anyone can
even though in history books i was taught that this is the land of slaves
and discrimination and theres alot of trouble in this nation where people wana get paid
even risk being slayed risk dying risk danger just to make paper what a shame
the rich treat life like a game and dont let the poor participate
and than they wonder why i anticipate hate
when they look at you and judge you its hard not to let the looks bug you
before they get to know you its hard looking back at what i went through
and im still searching for the answers that hurt internally like cancer
they say change is coming but i need it to come faster
like i was waighting for the brown case to be resolved
but i fear that racial issues will never be solved
and i pray to god because i realize humans did not evolve
