Today I made a footprint in the ground after my foot hit the water
But soon the print will fade away and my existence in this spot will mean nada
Leaving me with a thought that after I die will my memories live farther?
Should I become more spiritual now and ask for help father?
…Will u forgive me for the sins that I haven’t forgiven myself for yet?
Can u help me be patient? can you help me from changing?
…I’m scared to grow old I’m scared to be alone in this world that’s so cold
…I’m becoming more lonely as I walk further up the street
Until I see a homeless man that said something to me
…he asked me for a bit of change I said I need the same
…but he then said you have new shoes and clothes
But still sir I replied the way I am going now there’s no telling how the future will unfold
And I could not go on to know that my story will be untold
…see I escaped death a couple times So I believe I have a reason for breathing
Even though I lived a few years as a heathen
I’m now searching for heaven and a better life
…the homeless man said we share the same trife
But a different sort of story mine started wit fortune and glory
From drugs to sex gangbanging and building block territories
To having nothing and being broke…worst part is
…it feels like my heart and body are departed
…my wife’s out there someone but she hates me ! My daughters alive and hates me 2 !!!
What’s there for a father with no money to do?
I cant even see my daughter anymore
…my wife’s not a good mother so my daughters a whore
I have no reason to be standing on this corner anymore!
I told him to chill things will get better if you just have the will
But he disagreed told me to just leave…
So that’s what I did…not knowing that what he’d do next
…was to shoot himself in the chest
But he didn’t die they transfused his heart
…who knew that the decision was smart?

…They give him a heart full of warmth and strength
Hopefully his life will be prolonged with health
Because His family forgave him for the wrong decisions he was making
…thank you god for the beauty in life I was mistaking…
To see now I will try to be the best I can be
Both for you and me…
And so it seems even though the footprints are gone
My story with the homeless man lives on…
