..I've been looking for somebody like you since I was birthed as a kid..

..grade 7 nothing had changed, i just sat tight all the year..
..not knowin a year later i'd have to fight off the tears..
..grade 8 arrived, and i was undoubtedly the man..
..date as many girls as possible..undoubtedly the plan..
..then we started talking again and we rekindled the flame..
..started going out again, i was timid the same..
..to the point where i'd be scared and i would ask if i could kiss you..
..upon mention, you told me the fact that it was planned was not the issue..
..slowly my confidence grew and we were making out with the teachers right beside us..
..your tongue providing gentle guidance didnt kno what was going on inside us..
..until we went on the ski trip and i thought you liked different guys..
..you did too, but only because of the straight misguided lies..
..you heard that i was cheatin and i assure you i wasn't..
..when i said "i love you" that for sure wasn't bluffin..
..but i didnt kno and we didnt grow so i let you go..
..i really hurt you that day, but i guess you'll never know..
..just how much i really didnt want to but it was what i had to do..
..luckily for me no other guys tried to take a grab at you..
..i just chilled for a few months and decided i wanted you back..
..took a little while but you came, till my romantic floppin attacked..
..dumped u a week later the day before your birthday..
..went out with someone else musta hurt u in the worst way..
..after that was said and done i figured out what you meant to me..
..now its grade 9, i've been trying to get u back for over 7 months, guess its not meant to be..
..you say you like me too but you just cant do it all again..
..now i look into the mirror and say "you blew it all my friend"..
..but trust me when i say your name is written on my heart..
..ours are still beating even though they've both been ripped apart..

..way back in grade school i just moved here i was playing by myself in the field..
..faking smiles till you told a joke and made me grin for real..
..one of us liked a girl, the other guy was stayin off her..
..remember playing characters, watching movies, late nights and talks of harry potter..
..we'd take on challenges like a battering ram, im trapped with you man..
..nobody relates to me or can make me laugh like you can..
..times went on and circumstances separated us, the way we was livin was up..
..but we still snuck around and hung out liek we just not givin a fuck..
..we'd always resolve shit after a lame fight..
..remember when we both got dumped on the same night..
