Don't worry, the hip-hop state's alive and well
Don't tell anyone I'm really glad that we don't sell
Out souls or records, both things come at a price
Used to sell souls for 5 and our music for twice
As much, and it became real tiresome and repetitive
Artists, we should fire some just to get competitive
Bring it back to the roots like Quest and Black Thought
Send em a killer like Fest, leave em with blue and black thoughts
Most hip-hop I've heard lately has been awe-inspiring
But still theres a few dudes whose jaws be spiriling
Out of contol, take a shot at a legend a think not
At least there isnt a worry of they're album being bought
Because soundscan artists are dead, and i stepped on the grave
No peace, some rappers bled, but now thank me for hip-hop is saved

Yo it was pretty cool, you used the same rhyme scheme twice with thought but it's all good... nice drop

i actually liked the black thought bar...bit stretched though...

ive seen you do better drops...i felt the vocab was lacking here.....
