Return Of The Mac - Prodigy Of Mobb Deep

Recently Prodigy has announce that he will released two albums in 2007. The first album is Return Of The Mac, which is slated to be released on March 27, 2007. Return of the Mac is really a mixtape / kind of album. It really a album to get fans ready for H.N.I.C 2, which is the second album. H.N.I.C.2 is slated to be release in the fall. H.N.I.C 2 is the sequel to Prodigy first solo album H.N.I.C. Which was release in 2000 and is gold certified. Which also had classic hood hits like Keep It Thoro, and Y.B.E (Young Black Entrepreneurs). Prodigy recently said Return of the Mac is releasing under Koch Records. There is no news on where H.N.I.C.2 is going to be released on. It could be Koch records or G-Unit Records.

On Return Of The Mac, Prodigy teams up with his old friend and Infamous Records Affiliated The Alchemist. Alchemist recently said that he produced the whole album, every song on Return Of The Mac. Also Prodigy recently said in another interview, that Alcemist and I put this (Return of the Mac) cd together to get people ready for my new solo album H.N.I.C.2. I’m bout to turn it up hot with H.N.I.C.2. Prodigy is releasing the albums on Koch records, because he has a lot of stuff he want to get off his chest, and Koch records will support him and they will not hold him back or censor any of his music. Plus the entire company will support and push the album to the top. Prodigy saw he is very excited about the whole situation. I really like how Prodigy said "Alcemist started pulling out all these old samples and I said 'Yeah, that's perfect.' It fits with the title. Return of the Mac, except it's M-A-C like the gun. It had a catch to it." Look like the albums going to be some real heat. That what I like to listen to, real aggressive gangster music. This type of music gets me real hyped and motivated

The first single is ‘Stuck On You” and it will be the first national radio single. The video will be out shortly. The street single is called “Mac 10 Handles” and was recently named by the Village Voice as the #2 Best Rap Video of 2006.

Personally I’m looking forward to both these albums. I always been listening to Mobb Deep way before they signed to G-Unit Records. Which I thought is a great moved they did, cause you can’t denies they getting cake (Money). But many fans think they are in it for the money, if I was a rapper personally that what I‘ll be in it for, but Mobb Deep Prodigy as well as Havoc proved they are not in it for all the money, they are also in it for the love of music (Hip-Hop). They like making good aggressive music, they always releasing mixtapes and albums every year, as well as making aggressive songs and that why there are both releasing solo albums this year. The albums look like it not going to be release under G-Unit, look like it going to be release under Koch. So yeah meaning they not going to make that much money as appose to releasing it on G-Unit. Anyways I’m looking forward to both albums Prodigy releasing. I’m feeling the three single he release, the street single Mac 10 Handle and New York Shit, and the radio single Stuck On You.

Also this basically explained why his solo album is not releasing under G-Unit Records. "Basically Fif is a good nigga, he let us get our independent money wit our solo albums. In turn we got Mobb Deep on G-Unit. It works out for our pockets, it's a great situation, lots of money from more directions. He [50 Cent] doesn't try to hold us back or take percentages, he's just like 'Do your thing - get your bread,'" Prodigy explained.

Return of the Mac will hits shelves on March 27. Fans can also expect Prodigy's next solo project H.N.I.C. 2 in late 2007. I’m really looking forward to all of this, so I hope y’all are too.
