50 Cent Addresses "BISD" First-Week Sales Projections, "Once The Record Leaks [Then] What More Can I Do?"

50 Cent has offered his take on Before I Self Destruct's 160,000 first-week sales projections and said the album's global leak impacted his actual outcome.

Speaking with radio personality Funkmaster Flex, Fif stressed his inability to battle an international leak.

"With the actual outcome of the project, once the record leaks from the international plant, what more can I do," 50 explained in an interview. "I can't, I held the record long enough to get it to them, to mix and master it and for them to ship it and then it leaks from the plant internationally, I'm like come on, then that's it. They lost the ball. You know what I mean, if the numbers look funny to me, it's they fault." (Hot 97)

Based off one-day estimates, 50's fourth solo project is slated to land within the Top 5 next week.

Like an NFL coaching staff making in-game adjustments on the fly, Interscope's Jimmy Iovine and Steve Berman did some last-minute maneuvering around the release of 50 Cent's Before I Self Destruct following worldwide Internet leaks weeks prior to the original street date. In rapid succession, they pushed forward the physical release date from Nov. 23 to Nov. 17 -- the soonest the CD could be manufactured and shipped -- while also working out a one-week exclusive with iTunes for the digital album, to take effect Nov. 10. In return, iTunes agreed to go against its standard policy and "locked" the album, with only the single available a la carte, selling 46k album downloads during the exclusive window. Additionally, the compilers of the charts agreed to include the initial iTunes sales in the total for first week of general release, which is now looking in the 140-150k range. Unfazed by the album leak, Fif previously spoke on his ability to capture the fans' attention with his content on the new record.

"All you gotta do is get the response," Fif explained to radio personality Jenny Boom Boom. "The response is so well, so good, that I know the record is a hit. So whether they consumed it from actually purchasing it or they got it off the web or wherever they got it from, when they hear it and enjoy it, they end up at the show. How can I focus on album sales now when it's to the point where my record is released four weeks before schedule. The marketing, everything that's planned to sell the actual record, is happening four weeks late, now that the record is out a month early. Lil Wayne�s Rebirth and Young Money�s We Are Young Money albums are now scheduled for release on Monday, December 21, Universal Motown confirms to Rap-Up.com. The previous release date was December 15.

Hip-hop�s first family will have a showdown with Eminem�s Relapse: Refill and Mary J. Blige�s Stronger With Each Tear during the week of Christmas.

On December 21st, Eminem will be refilling his prescription. And just as fans/critics started to spread rumors� Relapse 2 is still on it�s way.

�I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned� Eminem says. �Hopefully these tracks on The Refill will tide the fans over until we put out Relapse 2 next year�. Eminem has been busy in the studio creating even more new material since Relapse was released. �I got back in with Dre and then a few more producers, including Just Blaze, and went in a completely different direction which made me start from scratch. The new tracks started to sound very different than the tracks I originally intended to be on Relapse 2, but I still want the other stuff to be heard.�

Eminem to Re-Release Relapse in December, Promises Sequel for 2010

Instead of dropping an entirely new album as planned by the end of the year, Aftermath/Interscope will re-release a special edition of Relapse next month.

Titled Relapse: Refill, the disc will feature seven new tracks including �Forever� featuring Drake, Kanye West and Lil Wayne, the DJ Hero bonus cut �Take My Ball� and five never-released songs. �I want to deliver more material for the fans this year like I originally planned,� Em said in a press release. �Hopefully these tracks on the Refill will tide the fans over until we put out Relapse 2 next year.�

The Detroit lyricist explained that he needed more time to finish the sequel disc. �I got back in with Dre and then a few more producers, including Just Blaze, and went in a completely different direction which made me start from scratch,� Shady said. �The new tracks started to sound very different than the tracks I originally intended to be on Relapse 2, but I still want the other stuff to be heard.�

The Game: "I Killed G Unit, I Killed the Brand"

As the news spreads of 50 Cent�s apparent steep sales drop for Before I Self Destruct, former prot�g� turned rival Game has emerged to take the credit.

In a recent interview with Complex.com to promote his forthcoming R.E.D. Album, the Game pointed to his on wax G Unit feud from 2005-2007 as what began his rivals� �downfall.�

�It�s just Hip-Hop and I think that he�s more bitter towards me then anyone else he�s had drama with because look what I did to his brand. I killed G Unit,� Game told Complex.com. �I killed the clothes, I killed the brand, I killed Tony Yayo, Banks, and Buck at that time. Like I really f**ked up a lot of money for that dude. Not only for him but my label, Jimmy Iovine, who at this point, I�m apologetic to.�

The feud was all but finished record-wise until 50 Cent recently aimed a few bars at Game on �So Disrespectful.�

Along with the lyrical taunts (�Game you�ll never be my equal�I�m in a tax bracket you�re never gone see/When you cross me�), the Queens mogul has rebuffed any attempt to reconcile, despite mentor Dr. Dre and Game making amends.

Regarding 50�s stance, the Compton emcee feels the rivalry has run its course and does not make any sense business-wise.

�Me and his beef is old at this point. It�s pure comedy for me at this point. When he says something, I laugh. If I shoot a shot back it�s just a joke at this point,� The Game explained. �Nobody is going to kill each other. Nobody is gonna beat each other�s ass. I�m not gonna do none of that. So we might as well get along. We exist in Hip-Hop�We�re not f**king WWE wrestlers, we�re not boxers man, it�s just Hip-Hop. It�s just make music or don�t make music. It�s not a gang war, like he�s not a Crip and I�m a Blood, and this ain�t f**king �85, and I�m not gonna ride through his hood and do a drive by, like it�s not that serious.�

Instead of challenging Jay-Z the midst of his Before I Self Destruct promotion, The Game advised 50 could switch up his tactics and garner more attention with a reunion project.

�If we said tomorrow Game and 50 are coming out with an album, you know how many motherf**king antennas would go up? We could still sell a million records just off promoting it alone,� he offered. �I mean, I understand the business aspect of it. I understand that you know, he�s got a big ego. I�m just not one with it, I don�t have one. I forgive and forget and that�s life. One day you�re alive and the next day you die. So why spend it bitter and mad at the f**kin� world, man? I don�t understand it.�

With �Baby By Me� as the current single, 50 Cent�s Before I Self Destruct is projected to sell 160,000 copies and land in Billboard�s Top 5.

Former G-Unit member Game recently weighed in on watching 50 Cent go after Jay-Z in interviews-turned-diss songs and said his former associate would easily lose in a rap battle against Hov.

In addition to speaking on 50-Jay, Game also explained how he destroyed the Unit brand.

"[50] said recently in an interview that he'll never work with Game again but that's all him talking and his ego. I can't wait to mend the ties with Eminem. Me and Eminem had never been at odds but he had to take 50's side...I killed G-Unit. I killed the clothes, I killed the brand, I killed Tony Ya-Yo, Banks and Buck at that time. Like I really f*cked up a lot of money for that dude. Not only for him but my label, Jimmy Iovine, who at this point, I'm apologetic to...I already did that Jay-Z thing. 50's just doing what I'm doing. Nobody went at Jay, I went at Jay. From the G-Unit leader's perspective, the rap game could use a lyrical beef of the magnitude he would create with Jay.

"Well, it would be great," 50 explained in an interview. "It would be great for hip-hop. It would probably be interesting, but I don't think one of us will survive it. I don't have a relationship with Jay-Z. We're just both a part of hip-hop culture. We're not friends. We don't call each other to talk at leisure." (MTV)

Fif has been taking jabs at Jay as of late, most recently by questioning the emcee's international fame.

Dec.22 eminem is going to re-release relapse..and add an extra 7 song bonus disc..

there will be a promo single from that. and you will hear some of it performed this weekend!!
the 7 new songs will obviously be featured on a SECOND disc since relapse is basically 80 minutes long. the bonus tracks from the
first release (my darling for example) will be included on this disc. not sure if they will be included in the 7 or additional to the 7
at least 1 of the tracks will have a guest. the tracklist isn't 100% yet. it is due to the label nov. 24 so em has to finish after he
returns from the AMAs!!! once again, another last minute decision haha. the label wants this out this year! also..not sure about relapse 2

50 Cent Talks Former G-Unit Members, "Game Ain't Really From The Streets"

50 Cent recently discussed former G-Unit member, Game, and explained why the Black Wall Street leader's street credibility should be questioned.

From Fif's perspective, Game's tactics are based upon creating a strong rap buzz for himself.

"They didn't have morals," 50 said about Young Buck and Game. "They haven't been brought up under the same circumstances. We've been taught not to bite the hand that feeds us. It's just not the right way to go. For Game's part, I don't really fault him as much as Buck. Game ain't really from the streets. He's a hip-hop baby. He's doing what he thinks he's supposed to do to generate the most interest. This is why you constantly see him flip-flop from one thing to another thing. He doesn't care, as long as you're interested...I generate attention, and the association gave him attention, initially. I wrote the records that you know him for from the very beginning. See, my respect for Dr. Dre is there because I feel like you might not have heard 'P.I.M.P' the way you heard it if you didn't hear 'In da Club.' You might not have embraced 'Many Men' or felt other things on my record if I didn't start with 'In da Club.' So when a man has his first three singles, from an artist perspective, with material that I wrote for him -- whether it's 'Westside Story,' 'How We Do,' or 'Hate It or Love It' -- then it's clear he'd be like 'I ain't gonna go against that,' but he doesn't have that thing that stops him. And he doesn't mean it later, because you'll see him apologize. It seems like he's sick." (VIBE)

50 recently said he would not be willing to make a collaboration record with Game.

"No," Fif said flatly when asked what his response would be to Dre's request for a reunion collaboration. "No, I wouldn't do it. I'd be on a record, on a song, on the [Detox] album, but not on that record [with Game]. That's not making a song, that's making an event -- things for people to talk about...So there's a verse there that you think would be great for both of us, I just say, 'Erase his verse and put something in better than that.'" Despite Game's "exit" from the Unit back in 2005, Fif claims the West Coast emcee is still signed to his label.

"[Young] Buck is still signed to G-Unit Records, hopefully he can come up with a record. If he can come up with a song, we can get my money back, you know what I'm saying? 50 Cent doesn�t make empty boasts. When the Queens rapper proclaimed, �I Run New York� on �I Get Money off his third LP, "Curtis," he meant it wholeheartedly.

Still, the general consensus is that Jay-Z rules the big apple. But, to let 50 tell it, there�s only one king and he�s not from Marcy. During an upcoming episode of "Food for Thought: Conversations with 50 Cent,� the media assassin, Harry Allen simply asked, �Why is Jay-Z widely considered king of New York, and not you?�

Freeway Preps Special "Freelapse" Mixtape, "It's A Tribute To Eminem"

State Property's Freeway has announced plans to drop a new mixtape called Freelapse which will pay homage to Eminem's platinum-certified Relapse album.

According To Freeway, the motivation to make a project based off Em stemmed from a freestyle by Slim Shady.

"I'm dropping the Freelapse it's a tribute to Eminem using all of his beats," Free explained in an interview. "What happened was Em did a freestyle and he was like 'I disappeared I was hiding in Freeways beard,' so I sampled that, made it a hook, and used it for a song. After that, I came up with the idea. Eminem is a talented emcee, he's got a lot of hot beats, and another artist would probably be scared to rap to his beats because he's murdered every beat. So I felt that it was a challenge for me to try to live up to the expectation." (All Hip Hop)

Aside from the mixtape, Free recently spoke on the status of State Property.

"We all family," Free promised in an interview. "Beans is on [my new] album, Young Chris, Omilio Sparks. It's still all love. In the future, we'll definitely do another State Property album. We just got to find a nice situation for it and we'll make it happen." (XXL Mag)

He also hinted at an upcoming record label deal with Birdman's Cash Money Records.

"I been f*cking with Cash Money," he said in a June interview. "You know, me and Wayne did a joint for the last album, but we couldn't get the sh*t cleared in time and all that. We just throwing around some ideas. And I'm launching a label, Free Money, so what better home for it...My man Ceelo, he worked with Baby, so he really basically connected us like that. Freeweezy previously announced his collaboration Stimulus Package album last spring.

50 Cent and Beanie Sigel's highly-anticipated "I Go Off" collaboration record has landed online the night prior to its official release and features the G-Unit leader taking shots at Jay-Z.

While not wasting any bars to speak on Hov, Fif weighs in his personal thoughts toward Beans' former associate at the end of the song.

50 Cent Sues Rap Website Over Unauthorized Image Use It's Already Too Late For Them

G-Unit's 50 Cent has detailed plans to sue popular rap website World Star Hip Hop on terms of the video-based destination illegally using his image on its main page.

From 50's perspective, the site has generated traffic off the strength of his photo.

Rap superstar 50 Cent is furious after the editors a popular hip-hop Web site used his image without permission. He is suing WorldStarHipHop.com over allegations his picture was plastered across the site's homepage, leading some readers to believe it was the star's own website. 50 Cent is taking the editors to court and has vowed to fight until they are broke. According to Fif, he has no intention of losing his case against the site.

"I gotta lawsuit against World Star for utilizing my likeness," he said in an interview. "A lot of people felt like that was my site because they saw my face on the cover of [the website] for a long time. I have lawyers on retainers and I have to pay them so much money anyway, so we'll go back and forth to court until [they] can't afford a subway sandwich. It's already too late for [them]." The rapper is known for voicing his opinion on the site in recent interviews.

"Worldstar is fake, all those people paid for those hits," he said in a recent interview. "You know how you see a wack video and think 'why it got so many hits?' It's because they press 'Apple' and 'R,' and the views go up 500 times. So if you an artist talking about they hot right now because they got crazy hits on WorldStar, it's because they coulda bought a package. They could have just paid for it." (Forbez DVD)

50 previously appeared in court to settle a lawsuit regarding repairs made to his Connecticut mansion.

Mr. Jackson has settled his lawsuit against an engineering firm over repairs and renovations to a Connecticut mansion he bought from boxer Mike Tyson in 2003, a court official said Friday. Details of the settlement were not immediately available. Messages were left for lawyers for the entertainer and the firm, BVH Integrated Services of Bloomfield. Linda Cohn, deputy chief clerk at Hartford Superior Court, confirmed the settlement. (Associated Press)

Mike Tyson Rep On LAX Arrest: "He Acted In Self-Defense As A Father"

A Mike Tyson representative has spoken on the boxer's arrest last night (November 11) at Los Angeles International Airport and said his attack on a photographer was solely for self-defense.

Tyson's rep said he was protecting the safety of his wife and child.

"Mr. Tyson was traveling with his wife and 10 month-old child without security when he was attacked by an overly aggressive paparazzi [sic]. The truth will reveal Mike acted in self-defense as a father protecting his child. We are confident justice will prevail," says Tyson's rep, Tammy Brook. (E! Online)

Details on the victim's injuries have also landed online.

Photographer Tony Echevarria, 50, said in video interview posted on TMZ.com that he "wasn't aggressive, I was shooting from a distance, and I was respectful." He indicated that his videotape should back up his story. Echevarria says he received five stitches and that Tyson, 43, hit him at least four times. "When you're getting hit by Mike Tyson, it's the worst thing in the world you can imagine," he said. (People Magazine)

The retired boxer was taken in by police yesterday evening.

We're told Tyson was at a ticket counter at the United Airlines terminal when the incident occurred. The photographer got punched in the face, hit the ground, got up and began walking, leaving a trail of blood. An LAPD spokesperson said the photographer suffered a minor laceration to the forehead. Someone at the scene tells TMZ ... the photographer got very close to Tyson before the boxer struck him. Our guy on the scene says there's blood on the ground and Mike was taken away in a squad car. We're told an ambulance was dispatched at 4:39 PM to LAX -- we're told the paparazzo was transported to a local hospital. UPDATE: Tyson's rep says he was traveling with his 10-month old daughter when he was attacked by an overly aggressive paparazzi -- adding the boxer acted in self-defense to protect his child. (TMZ)

Shortly after published reports circulated online, police confirmed the incident.

The photographer, who was not immediately identified, also was arrested. He suffered a cut to his forehead and was taken to a hospital. It was not known if Tyson was hurt. "There's a lot of different versions to the story," Los Angeles Airport Police Sergeant Jim Holcomb said. "That's all going to come out later. But in this particular case, both individuals are going to be pressing charges for battery." (Reuters)

Mike Epps Not Interested In How High Sequel No Offense 2 Redman Method Or The Project

With recent Redman talks of trying to get production rolling for a How High sequel, SOHH spoke with the original film's actor, Mike Epps, to find out if he would reprise his role as "Baby Powder" if given the opportunity.

Epps told SOHH he was more interested in serious roles which will advance his acting career.

"Yeah, I mean, you know, you know, I'm really, really really trying, no offense to anybody, Redman, Method Man or the project, I'm really trying to move on," Epps explained. "I'm really trying to get some opportunities where I can really show my acting chops and get some respect. I'm approaching a certain age in my life, you know, some of those roles are kinda like, they're old for me man. You know what I mean? Those roles are for younger guys that are entering the business now." (SOHH)

Blaming Universal for not allowing him and Method Man to move forward with their film, Red recently said he is currently on the prowl for a new movie deal.

"Yo, Red and Mef, we coming too," Reggie Noble promised in an interview. "Thanks everybody for buying the Blackout 2! album and everyone who's wondering about the How High movie, listen, we're trying to get a deal for it. Universal is not allowing us to use the name or the characters because of paperwork, right, so y'all know the deal, we gonna work around that. But the most important part, the video will still be marijuana-related, and that is the very important part." (The Life Files)

Redman previously spoke with SOHH about his issues with Universal.

"As far as Universal, bad move," Red explained last spring. "Everybody that we promoted the [movie] to, all our fans, we thank you for listening and rooting for us and wondering when the new movie coming out but it's not our fault. It's a business move. Universal are not pushing. They're not opening that money door for us to shoot it. We promoted the sh*t out of that movie. We got the whole world waiting for a How High 2. [They'd] be stupid not to just throw money and say let's just do it because it's already promoted. That's the real deal. It's business, paperwork, not us." (SOHH)

Last year, Red announced a follow-up to the cult classic was in the works.
