Shut down screen..help?

When i shut down my computer, it stays on "shutting down"
& the computer never turns off! Same when i try & restart.
Help?

nah like ill click start then shut down, everything else shuts down
n it goes to the WINDOWS SHUTTING DOWN screen & the comp never shuts down.
i gotta unplug it fromthe back all the time =/

Theres something running in your processes that Windows cant stop before it trys to shut down.

Manually end some processes before shutting down and see If it makes a difference, If you figure out which process isnt stopping for your computer to shut down, then delete it, most likely it will be a virus or something of a 3rd party program, not a windows file.

Yes thats what it is, Its a 3rd party program or a virus, I would suggest getting Kaspersky 2009 and scan the pc. You may also try and post a screenshot of your running processes on here so I can take a look at it
