I'm sure nobody here has EVER made a mistake -- a typo, a slip of the tongue, etc.

Obama said he's been to 57 states, and had one to go. He also said that "they" (they probably being his campaign managers and whatever other assortment of people in his entourage) wouldn't let him go to Hawaii and Alaska.

So ... let's assume he meant 47 instead of 57. If he had one state left to go, then that equals 48 states. Plus Alaska and Hawaii, and he already said he wouldn't be traveling to either. Basic math here -- 47 + 1 +2 = 50 (!). WOW. There's 50 states in the union, isn't there?

So we can either chalk it up to a slip of the tongue, or him confusing the US and Islam, a religion that he doesn't even practice.

BTW, this video is months and months old. This is from well before he was even elected, and it's already made it's rounds around the internet and the cable news networks. Why everyone here is so surprised about it is beyond me.

It should be automatic to say 50. Any American growing up with love for his country should automatically say 50. Assuming he meant 47. I guess Ill assume it because it seems more believable lol. I just don't want to give Obama a benefit of the doubt. Ill fall back on that.but I assume the possibility of him not loving America like the way you think he does.
