Well I'm starting this fall and I want to know what to expect, cause well i heard it was like high school for another 2years....maybe not? have any of you been to a community college if so let me know ur experiences and if u havent been to one let me know what you think its going to be like

im going this fall too.....i can tell its gonna suck already cause

1. i gotta take an extra math cause i suck at math (didnt have to take the extra english cause im good at that

surprisingly...)
2. i hear its a shitload of homework, and no classwork, which is the opposite of how i do things.
3. i hate school

but the positives are i hear its really fun compared to highschool, and alot more laid back (my friends are taking summer classes, they know more than i do lol). and i dont have school fridays :) idk how yall are going to do ur schedules, im just saying

i hear its nothing like highschool, but who knows. i dont care either

Community college is a breeze. I finished and am starting UCLA in the fall.

All you need to be aware of is time management and have focus on your coursework. It's like high school, but it's all set up to fit your schedule, not the other way around. I usually had 3-4 days of class, fridays always off. It was the shieeeettt... I wish I could go back.

community college is great because you can 2yrs of the same pre-req courses you must take a big college anyways, for 1/10 of the price.

it's all just basic english 101, health 101, pre-calculus, etc. Courses that must be required to pass before you go onto a certain program/area of study. It's cake in the beginning, but it's a good idea to keep the grades up on these so your GPA stays high, cus when getting down to specific courses if you go for your bachelors, it's takes literally half a day of study, research, assignments.. You'll want to have a good GPA early because it can get you through faster + it will open more options to diff classes + degrees. Some colleges if you fuck up in the beginning they boot you, or they just won't let you into certain schools (business, bio/chem, etc) Right now I have to take a full year of nothing but anatomy classes, 4 days a week, 3 hours in the same classroom sitting and dosing off, then the daily assignments 3 hours of reading a $300 test book all night long. It's very repetetive and tiring, enjoy your first few semesters while you can.

CC aren't tough though, 4-6yr colleges that only accept certain students based on HS GPA, scholarships can be a nightmare to get through depending.

But if you plan on transfering your CC credits over to another 4yr degree type college, make sure you take classes at the CC that are eligible to transfer to that exact college, otherwise it'll be a waste of credits + money

Transfer with classes that meet all your pre-reqs for another 4 yr university or you're wasting your time. and pick a major that you see yourself in 20 years from now... not just cuz it has classes that interest you.

I started my own child care business, 'Child's Play'. Figured why wait for somone to hand me a good job or pay me a good salary, I just started my own business and did it myself lol. It pays the bills and I get to work with kids, win win.

I love working with kids man, thats my passion, I wanted to be a teacher until I realized I wasnt smart enough

nah but really its fantastic, I mean you're literally molding this child in to the person they're going to grow up and become. im teaching them their values and shit and its just really rewarding. I cant think of anything else I would rather do to be honest
