My thoughts on Slim Thugga leavin' Interscope...

The news of Slim Thug leaving Interscope shocked me when it was released earlier this week, as I had thought his second album, Boss Of All Bosses would be released on a Major label. Oh well...long as I get the damn album, I'll be good.
This move could potentially make or break his career to be honest. There's not many independent labels out there these days, but I think the best move for Slim is Koch. He'll get good money, while at the same time releasing good music for everybody to enjoy. Its a win/win for everybody IMO.
I understand where he's comin' from, too. If I was him, I wouldnt wanna fuckin' sit on the fuckin' sidelines & have to fuckin' wait for fuckin' 3 years to release my next project. But I also understand that his album may not have been released yet because all the singles released for his album flopped harder than a muthafucka. And that, ladies n gents, is NOT the way to go if you wanna be able to release your album. Just ask Mike Jones...his second album got shortened to a fuckin' EP & he had to record an entirely new album just cuz his singles flopped(I only like Drop n Gimme 50 outta those released for it, n it ain't cuz of Mike either...HURRRRRRRRRICANE!).
But honestly, I never thought Slim's signin' to Interscope was all that smart a move to begin with. After all, he WAS originally supposed to debut in February 2005...but they pushed him back 5 months.
Regardless of what I had thought however, I was just happy to get his debut album the day it came out. THIS is the album that literally inspired me to try n get into the muzik biznez.
I promised myself from day one that I would support Slim no matter what n I plan on keeping that promise. Him, Flip n Cham are the only ones in Houston I ever swore my allegiance to.
Boss Of All Bosses comin' soon!!!!!
