M-Audio USB Interface
And my Nady headphones

As for software I'm still rockin with Cool Edit Pro 2.0

And damn, im pretty sure the mic you got aint over a couple hundred

but those sterling mics are expensive as fuck. the one you got like 300 or something though. still expensive.

Mixing has nothing to do with the amount of knobs on an interface. All those knobs represent are headphone volume and input volume (which plays a part in mixing). Just mess with different plug ins and see what works. Everything starts out with a proper gain level. So make sure it's not too loud, or you'll get clipping...which is what most people on this site get.

And yes my mic cost me $300.

The mic is around $300 and the interface around $150.

But before that I was rockin an AKG Mic and Presonus Tube Preamp which cost a total of around $250.
