I personally think he didn't use auto-tune as a joke. I think he's saying if someone put positive lyrics through auto-tune, people wouldn't wanna hear it because people just wanna hear the largely-redundant lyrics it's used for currently (thus the reason why we would hear "the Opera groomed fat bitch" (it ain't over till the fat lady sings quote), meaning it would be over, if someone auto-tuned those positive lyrics).. which is why we're "trapped and movin in circles" because the masses don't wanna hear positive, intelligent lyrics whatever way they are presented.That's how I think about it.
